”Through the continuity of her practice, Gordillo creates new partnerships with the spaces that her works occupy and thus continues to present utopias that feed our imagination.” – Mette Marcus

Gun Gordillo – Complete Works is the first comprehensive overview of Gordillos art and career. Illustrated by a wealth of over 300 photographs, including previously unpublished photographs from personal collections, Gordillo’s artistic evolution and processes are traced from Copenhagen to Paris and Stockholm to Cairo, with spotlights on individual pieces, architectural installations, and exhibitions.

To mark this milestone, a new monograph on Gordillo’s life and work will be released. The book provides a richly illustrated and in-depth look at Gordillo’s decades-long career, with contributions from leading art historians and curators Domitille D’Orgeval, Marika Wachtmeister, Mette Marcusand and Ingela Lind. Graphic Design by Kiosk Studio.

Book launch, August 16, 13:00–16:00 at Copenhagen Contemporary.
From 14:00 to 15:00, art historian and contributor to the book Mette Marcus will engage in a public tête-à-tête with Gun Gordillo, with point of departure in three key moments of her artistic practice.
