Norwegian Interior Architecture

Renowned for its top architects, Norway also boasts of some of the most talented interior architects active today. To illustrate the high quality and wide variation found in modern interior architecture of Norway, this book examines in detail 31 acclaimed interior architecture and furniture design projects from the last four years, including Snøhetta’s meaningful Maggie’s Cancer Centre in Aberdeen, the famous Halden Prison by Beate Ellingsen and Kristin Jarmund’s stunning Troldsalen in Bergen. It was published in conjunction with the 70th anniversary of the Norwegian Association for Interior Architects and Furniture Designers (NIL).

“An interior is never finished. Interior architects are continuously engaged in creatively adapting spaces to changing users, new demands or contemporary insights. Not product-focused but user-centred.” – Siv Senneset (Board President, NIL)
